Is There a Vaccine for the West Nile Virus?
At this time there is no available human vaccine for the West Nile virus (WNV). In 2000, The National Institutes of Health awarded a grant to Acambis (formerly OraVax, Inc.), a U.S. subsidiary of Peptide Therapeutics Group, to "fast track" a West Nile virus vaccine.
